Artist of the Month - Colleen Rintoul
Colleen has been writing
since childhood. In recent years she has rediscovered her passion for
photography. Colleen feels an affinity
with the natural environment of woodlands and wildlife. Her visual interests include landscapes, minimalism,
abstracts and night images. She often
photographs urban environments late at night.
She strives to capture the
essence of the world around her with the composition and emotional impact of
words and images. For Colleen, writing
and photographic art are the creative result of the mingling of heart and mind.
Train Station 3
a.m.
In
the foggy night
Beneath
pools of light,
A
vacant bench waits
amid
echoes of the departed
Who
have taken their leave
on
passing trains.
They
move on in time and place
as
moments here and gone,
linger
on, in the memory
of
those left behind.

The Art Gallery of Lambeth wishes to express appreciation to poet/editor/stage designer/photographer Rob Hueniken. In addition to the talents listed above, Rob is very tech-savvy, and he kindly installed and activated a Wi-Fi router in our gallery.
Now we are able to stream both ambient and jazz internet radio stations, and fill the AGL with delightful sounds to augment the delightful visual art.
Please take a moment to check out Rob's 'Making More of Today' blog, featuring his stellar, thought-provoking poetry and storytelling.

2014 London Studio Tour
A good deal of the magic of Vivian Tserotas' studio tours.....
Perhaps the lion's share of the magic.....
Comes courtesy of the way-cool art patrons that grace our gallery with their presence.
The conversations that ensue are at once cordial, educational and spiritually uplifting. We end up every bit as blessed as the art patrons, if not more so!
Vivian's studio tour concludes on Sunday, May 4 between the hours of 12PM-5PM. If YOU haven't already graced us with YOUR presence, please do so! We have delicious hot coffee and refreshments for you to enjoy while visiting with us. Oh, and did we mention that we're exhibiting a good number of scintillating textiles by the mega-talented Vivian?
We are located at 2454 Main Street in Lambeth.
